At ARQ-analítica we perform analysis of ceramic remains through a systematic process that includes cleaning, inventory and classification of materials, ensuring proper documentation from the earliest phases of the study.
The work is completed with recording and graphic documentation techniques, such as photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction, which allow a better formal understanding of the pieces and facilitate their analysis, conservation and dissemination.
When required by the project, we address the study of the composition of ceramic materials, considering both their chemical and petrographic characteristics, always in relation to the archaeological context from which they originate.
This approach allows us to obtain relevant information on manufacturing processes, the use of raw materials and the technical interpretation of ceramic assemblages, contributing to a more comprehensive and well-grounded interpretation of the archaeological record.
