Forensic Anthropology

At ARQ-analítica we conduct forensic anthropology and bioarchaeology studies focused on the technical analysis of human skeletal remains, using a systematic methodology that ensures proper documentation and handling of the material.

The work includes cleaning, sorting, and inventory of the remains, as well as determining the minimum number of individuals (MNI) and estimating key biological parameters such as age and sex, always considering the state of preservation and the context of discovery.

The analysis is completed with the study of metric and non-metric traits, as well as the identification of possible bone alterations through paleopathological analysis, providing relevant information for the biological and historical interpretation of the individuals.

When the project requires it, samples are taken for stable isotope analysis and radiocarbon (¹⁴C) dating, integrating these data into a critical and coherent interpretation with the archaeological context.
